Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Implement physiotherapy interventions for a range of conditions, including respiratory, orthopaedic, and neurological disorders.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with NHS standards.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding rehabilitation processes.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
    • Eligibility for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience:
    • Experience in respiratory physiotherapy, including suctioning skills.
    • Previous work in acute medicine, orthopaedics, and neurology is an advantage.
  • Registration:
    • HCPC registration is required to practice as a physiotherapist in the UK.

Language Proficiency

  • Proficiency in English is essential. Candidates must meet the language requirements set by the HCPC, which typically includes:
    • Achieving a minimum score in the IELTS or OET exams.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
