Job Description

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Implement physiotherapy interventions for a range of conditions, including respiratory, orthopaedic, and neurological disorders.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with NHS standards.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding rehabilitation processes.
- Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Essential Qualifications
- Education:
- Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
- Eligibility for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience:
- Experience in respiratory physiotherapy, including suctioning skills.
- Previous work in acute medicine, orthopaedics, and neurology is an advantage.
- Registration:
- HCPC registration is required to practice as a physiotherapist in the UK.
Language Proficiency
- Proficiency in English is essential. Candidates must meet the language requirements set by the HCPC, which typically includes:
- Achieving a minimum score in the IELTS or OET exams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
